ANTI-TUBERCULOSIS TREATMENT IN PRESUMED OCULAR TUBERCULOSIS PATIENTS WITH GRANULOMATOSIS OCULAR PATHOLOGIES: SINGLE CENTER EXPERIENCE FROM TURKIYE

Objective: Ocular tuberculosis is still considered to be a controversial issue in terms of both terminology and diagnostic criteria treatment options. There no common diagnostic/treatment algorithm even though new approaches exist.In this study, the results “presumed ocular patients” are evaluated. Materials Methods: Anti-tuberculosis was given cases who had latent infection, other diagnosis did not respond steroid treatment. These were have presumed tuberculosis. Results: Sixty four tuberculosis” received anti-tuberculosis for minimum three months followed up regularly. The 64 made 32 women men, with mean age 42.1±12.09 years. Mean antituberculosis duration 8.18±2.17 (3-15 month). After treatment, 47 (73.4%) patients reported improvement vision.
